Aeatye™ RJ45 Ethernet Cable Continuity Tester with Remote Unit
TEST & MEASUREMENT · TRACE THE CONNECTION
Start with the Disconnected Cable
A main unit and matching remote bring a visible, two-ended layout to basic cable continuity checks.
When a cable connection is uncertain, an appropriate continuity check can be one step in the investigation. This Aeatye™ two-piece tester design pairs a larger main body with a compact remote. Both present an RJ45 socket and a vertical indicator area, with dark housings and blue side accents that make the pair easy to recognize together.
Two-Piece Layout
The main and remote can be positioned at opposite accessible cable ends.
RJ45 Sockets
Match the actual supported connector and wiring type before testing.
Visible Indicator Rows
Interpret the sequence using the verified model's wiring map and instructions.
Matching Blue Accents
Keep the paired units together in an organized network toolkit.

Continuity Is One Part of the Picture
A basic pin check helps examine an individual wiring path, but it does not certify transmission performance or prove that a network will operate at a particular speed. Test only a cable fully disconnected from powered equipment. If a result is unclear, check the connectors and any patch leads that form part of the test path.
A CLOSER LOOK
Details That Shape the Setup
A Remote for the Far End
Use the matching unit where the other end of an isolated cable is accessible.
A Readable Pin Sequence
Compare the observed pattern with the intended wiring, rather than assuming every differing sequence means the same fault.
A Focused Test Role
Category certification, throughput testing, live-circuit protection, and advanced fault analysis require their own verified capabilities.

Find Its Place in Your Routine
Loose Patch Leads
Check a compatible cable after removing it from all powered equipment.
Isolated Cable Runs
Use accessible ends and verified compatible patch leads as instructed.
Cable Organization
Label checked leads and record the result for the next troubleshooting step.
A Considered Start
-
Disconnect Both Ends
Remove connections to switches, routers, computers, PoE sources, and all powered equipment. -
Confirm Suitability
Check the actual tester's supported cable and operating instructions. -
Connect the Units
Attach the isolated cable ends to the main and matching remote. -
Interpret the Pattern
Use the model's guide and follow up with the appropriate next test where needed.
Before You Choose
Can it test a live PoE or network connection?
No such use is established for this listing. Disconnect the cable from all powered equipment before attaching the tester.
Does a normal sequence certify Cat6 performance?
No. A continuity pattern does not establish bandwidth, category compliance, or a working Gigabit link.
Care and Use
Do not attach the tester to energized network, telephone, or mains circuits. Keep the sockets clean and dry and follow the actual battery instructions.
